Frequently asked questions (FAQ's) & Terms & Conditions.

What certification will I get if I do a scuba diving course with you?
You will get an internationally recognised certification that will last a life time. This certification will be through Scuba Schools International (SSI), the worlds largest store based SCUBA agency. SSI certifications are completely compatible with PADI, BSAC, CMAS, NAUI and any of the other SCUBA agencies. You will be able to dive with any dive center/school worldwide regardless of which agency they are affiliated with, you will also be able to continue your diving education and complete further scuba diving courses with any agency. We 100% guarantee that you will never have any problems once certified with SSI. All of the certifications that we issue are completely digital and available on the 'MySSI' app - meaning you will never lose your diving certification. Everything is saved digitally.

Do courses start on specific days?
Nope! Book a start date the suits you. If you are booking within 48 hours of your preferred course start date then please get in touch with us before booking to check availability. If you are booking more than 48 hours in advance then book your preferred start date and we will get back to you asap (within 24 hours, usually faster) to confirm your booking. We are usually able to organise courses on short notice and typically start Open Water Courses 5-7 days a week all year round.

Will the weather affect my diving courses & trips?
The short answer is no, not usually! We are very lucky being located on the small island of Koh Tao which means we can easily move our boat to a sheltered part of the island. If the wind and waves are coming from the east then we can go diving on the west side of the island and vice versa. Our courses are very, very rarely postponed or cancelled - this is true all year round. The rain definitely bother us, we get wet anyway!

What are the best times to visit and dive on Koh Tao?
Good question, and it's one that we often can't answer. Koh Tao, Thailand is located in the tropics and the weather and diving conditions often don't play by the rules. Luckily for us we can dive all year round without almost any interuptions. So no matter what time of the year you will be able to scuba dive with us and complete your scuba diving courses and trips.

Where is the best place to stay on Koh Tao and where are you located?
Without a doubt Sairee beach is the best place to stay on the island of Koh Tao. Sairee beach stretches for almost 3km and as well as being a beautiful beach it's where everything happens on our little island. All the shops, best bars, restaurants and everything else that you need can be found on Sairee beach. It's also in the center of the island, so is no more than 5 minutes to the main pier town of Mae Haad and is a great base to explore all of the smaller beaches, bays, viewpoints and snorkel spots the island has to offer. Luckily for you we're located directly on Sairee beach and our dive center overlooks its white sands and blue waters. Address: 1, Sairee Beach Koh Tao, Ko Tao, Amphoe Ko Pha-ngan, Surat Thani, 84360, Thailand. Google Maps.

What dive sites will we visit on scuba diving courses & trips?
We have over 25 dive sites that we visit throughout the month but typically we dive on the west coast of Koh Tao - this is where we are located and where the best dive sites on the island are. If you are doing an Open Water Course expect to dive around Koh Nangyuan for your first dives at sites like Japanese Gardens, Red Rock, Twins, Green Rock & then sites like White Rock, Chumphon Pinnacle or Southwest pinnacle for your last two dives. On advanced courses and dive trips we can expand on the basic dive sites and take you to deeper sites like our wreck, the HTMS Sattakut, Sail Rock and the deeper pinnacles around the island. We also like to mix it up and dive the east side of the island (especially if conditions aren't good on the west side) and then we dive sties like Shark Island, Southwest Pinnacle, Hin Wong, Laem Thian and a few others.

What size groups do you take people diving in?
We do maximum group sizes of 4 divers to 1 instructor/divemaster. This ensures that you dive in small, personal groups and get all the personal attention that you deserve when completing your dive courses and trips.

Do I need to be able to swim to scuba dive?
To be able to scuba dive and complete a One Day Try Dive you will not need to know how to swim. Our instructors will take care of you and be very close to you the entire time that you are in the water. To get scuba certified and get your Open Water Diver certification you will need to know how to swim, the requirements for the course are: Ability to swim 200m un-aided & tread water for 10 minutes. This is non-negotiable and we do not offer swimming lessons. If we can see that you are not comfortable in the water we will ask you to complet the swim tests.
