Instructor Training Course Koh Tao

Already certified as a Divemaster and want to take the next step in becoming a scuba diving instructor? Then this course is for you.

The instructor training course will take 2 weeks to complete with an additional 2 day, external exam held by SSI. Over the two weeks you will learn all about being a Scuba diving instructor, how to teach scuba diving courses in the classroom, underwater and ultimately learn how to train confident and comfortable divers.

Prerequisites

In order to take this course you will need to be -

  • Aged 18 and over

  • Ability to swim 200m un-aided & tread water for 10 minutes

  • Good physical health (Those with known medical conditions may need written approval from a dive medic)

  • Certified as an Open Water Diver for at least 6 months and hold a Divemaster & nitrox certification. 

  • Valid first aid and o2 provider certification

I did my open water and advanced with Rory. He’s a really nice Guy, so professional, and made me feel really comfortable during the courses. Four yeas ago I did my advanced with phoenix divers (1 of the best experiences of my 7 month travel through Southeast Asia). Now I am back and doing my Divemaster and Instructor courses. It was so heartwarming to be back. The welcoming atmosphere, all the kind staff and the relax vibe is so nice at phoenix. The lessons, equipment and the whole organisation is very professional. Dive Courses with Rory

We were really happy about our decision to do our certifications with Phoenix Divers. It was not expensive in comparison to other schools, the equipment and boat all in good condition, class size was small and the accommodation was included too. Rory was a great instructor - he made sure we were super comfortable with the skills and were serious about safety but still made all the lessons fun. And the ocean dives were awesome. Would recommend 100%.
